Get Involved

There are several ways to get involved with Communigrow. We are always looking to improve our services and the work we do. We would like to work with schools and community groups to enable individuals of any age or background to participate in unique and innovative, land-based, experiences.

We would like to partner with universities to better evaluate and monitor the work we do and to develop more effective user involvement methods to enhance our beneficiaries' experiences of the projects we offer.

We would also like to engage with the private sector to put in place mentoring programmes for our budding entrepreneurs, learn to improve our business methods as well as give private sector employees access to training and third sector volunteering and fundraising experience. Our partnership working practices are unique and we strive to devise excellence in cross-sector exchanges that benefit all involved.

Volunteering

Communigrow volunteers are very much part of Joining Hands’ team. An initial introduction at a team meeting and an induction programme allows all of our volunteers to develop with our organisation and learn by being part of the on-going projects on offer.

There are free courses and training opportunities for all of our volunteers, as well as staff, ranging from health and safety training to CV writing and Health and Social Care Certificates and diplomas.

By joining our team you are sharing your talents and abilities as well as learning from experienced professionals and enhancing your future career opportunities.

If you would like to apply for a placement that will give you personal and professional satisfaction.

please contact volunteering@joininghandskent.co.uk

Corporate Sponsorship

Due to the rapidly expanding nature of Communigrow, we would like to invite you to take part in the opportunity to become a Corporate Sponsor.

Even with healthy grants the popularity of our workshops, community projects and training schemes, the running of a not for profit organisation cannot be covered by public funding alone. Learn more about how your donations help us to cover the cost of supporting disadvantaged and vulnerable people in the Kent Community.

We can offer a wide range of flexible packages that will deliver:

  • Brand positioning which aligns your name with Joining Hands’ reputation for innovation, excellent pro bono training and public engagement.
  • Access to a target audience including media.
  • Corporate Engagement opportunities including volunteer days for employees and priority invitations to company events.

Here is how your donations help develop talent:

  • To run a Workshop
  • To run a Community Project
